Significant damage caused to school roof

Significant damage has been caused to the roof of a primary school in Churchdown.

Police are searching for the people responsible for making a large hole in the roof of St Mary’s School in Cheltenham Road East.

Several roof tiles were removed leaving a 4ft by 2ft gap at 6pm on Saturday, August 1.

A chimney was damaged and several lighting wires were left hanging from the hole. Nothing was taken from inside the building.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 371 of August 1.
