Motorists heading between Cheltenham and Gloucester will face another year of dissruption whilst a key route is closed.
The bridge on Bamfurlong Lane which carries traffic over the M5 motorway will be closed to all vehicles from 7th November 2022 until 23rd December 2023.
It is anticipated a pedestrian route/walkway will be maintained – however we are awaiting clarification from Highways England on this.
Essential work, including concrete repairs, replacement waterproofing, fencing and resurfacing is due to take place on the bridge.
The closure is required to complete the work that’s been seen on other nearby routes including Staverton Bridge and Brookfield Road.
