A week-long crime spree in Churchdown has prompted an appeal for information and for any further victims to come forward.
Between Sunday, March 8 and Sunday, March 15 there were eight break-ins or attempted break-ins at homes in the area, six non-dwelling break-ins or attempted non-dwelling break-ins and seven thefts from motor vehicles.
On Monday, March 9 an elderly woman’s home and shed were targeted in Winston Road (incident number 49) and an orange Stihl chainsaw was stolen from a garage in Melville Road (incident number 74).
Bikes were taken from a garage in Brookfield Road on Thursday, March 12 (incident 68) while an Xbox was taken from a house in Albermarle Road on Sunday, March 15 (incident 149).
Thieves also nabbed a snowboarding jacket from a black Seat in Wisteria Way on Sunday, March 8 (incident 229), an iPod from a Volkswagen Passat parked on a driveway in Pirton Lane on Monday, March 9 (incident 96) and hairdressing equipment from a vehicle in John Daniels Way on Tuesday, March 10 (incident 112).
While police have not established if all these crimes were committed by the same offenders, the links between each one are being investigated.
