Police are appealing for information after a driver was killed following a collision on the M5.
The driver is thought to be a former pupil of Churchdown Academy School.
The RTC happened just north of junction 13 on the southbound side of the motorway at around 5.25am this morning(November 12).
A blue BMW 1-series car collided with a white articulated lorry.
A police spokesman said: “Sadly the driver of the BMW, a 21-year-old man from Gloucester died at the scene. The coroner and victim’s next of kin have been informed, however formal identification has not yet been carried out. The driver of the lorry was physically unharmed in the collision.”
The southbound carriageway is currently closed and will remain so until around 1pm this afternoon.
