A fatal collision involving a car and a pedestrian closed roads in Churchdown for much of the day with emergency services deployed to the scene.
The incident happened in Station Road close to the junction with Albermarle Road at around 09:25 today (Monday, October 4).The air ambulance was called and closures were in place on Albemarle Road, between the Churchdown Community Centre roundabout and the Brookfield Road junction. Roads reopened around 21:30.
A local man, in his 70s, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.The car involved was a black Mercedes Benz E.
