Life-saving cardiac equipment has been installed in Churchdown following community fundraising.
A defibrillator will now be stationed at the John Daniels Playing Field, as well as the GL3 hub, after more than £2,500 was raised.
The project was thought up by youngsters who use the hub after professional footballer Fabrice Muamba suffered a heart attack during an FA Cup game. But it also meant a lot to the village after Leeds fan Mike Mulraney died aged 44, following chest pains on the pitch while playing for Churchdown Parish FC in December 2005.
