Taylor Wimpey is in the process of acquiring the land North of Innsworth Lane where outline planning permission was granted in December 2017 for a mixed use development including up to 1,300 homes.
Within the development, there are also plans for 8.31 hectares of land for employment generation comprising a neighbourhood centre of 4.23 hectares, office park of 1.31 hectares and business park of 2.77 hectares plus a primary school.
A public consultation event will be held on the 13th of December 2018 at the GL3 Community Hub between 14:00 – 20:00, this is for local people to share views and opinions.
Proposed development
The proposed development covers an area of approximately 100 hectares and comprises mainly enclosed fields.
The site is located 3.5 miles north of Gloucester and 6.5 miles west of Cheltenham. It is located on the northern edge of Innsworth and north of the A40. Existing residential properties are located south of the site on Innsworth Lane and Imjin Barracks to the east of the site on Frogfurlong Lane.
The northern site boundary follows Hatherley Brook with farmland lying beyond this to the north.
