Rail enthusiasts are expected to gather at Gloucester Station on Saturday to watch a historic steam engine pass through the city.
The No. 34046 Braunton will be at the station from 8.30am to 9.30am while the train changes direction.
It will be travelling to Worcester from Bristol hauling the Welsh Borders train for The Railway Touring Company.
Braunton is a member of the British Railways West Country Class and was built by the Southern Railway in November 1946.
It worked across the Southern Region hauling some of the fastest and most luxurious passenger services including the famous Golden Arrow boat train.
After withdrawal from service in 1965, Braunton was sent to Barry Scrapyard in South Wales where it languished for many years.
Braunton returned to steam for the first time in 2007 after being restored at the West Somerset Railway.
The steam engine returned to mainline service just last year, in August 2013, and has since gone on to haul services across the country including The Torbay Express which runs from Bristol to Paignton and Dartmouth during the summer.
