There might still be plenty sleeps left to go but, with all the extra air traffic around Christmas time, Santa has to file his flight plans early! Gloucestershire Airport is pleased to announce that the big fat fella will be touching down at the Jet Age Museum in December and Rise Helicopters will once again be offering helicopter rides to his grotto.
This year’s Christmas celebration in the skies will take off on the weekends of 10th & 11th and 17th & 18th December with flights departing approximately every 20 minutes from 11am until 3.30pm.
The trip will include a 5-minute flight from the airport terminal building, landing at Jet Age museum in a Jet Ranger helicopter, followed by a magical meeting with Santa himself at the Jet Age Museum’s very special airliner grotto.
Every youngster will receive a gift from Santa.
Flights cost £35 per person (adult or child) and the helicopter seats up to 4 passengers. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult and the front seat is only available for ages 13 and over.
After visiting the museum, Santa’s helpers will return passengers to the Airport Terminal by road, if required.
Santa will also be happy to welcome visitors not necessarily wishing to take the helicopter ride, who can visit his Jet Age Museum grotto for a donation of £5. He’ll also be at the museum on the evening of Thursday 22nd December from 4-7pm
To book the flights you can visit the Gloucestershire Airport Terminal building or call 01452 857700 ext. 223.
