There is always confusion over when exactly the clocks go back.
This year they will go back an hour at 2am on Sunday October 26 – meaning an extra hour in bed
This signals the end of British Summer Time and a reversion to Greenwich Mean Time.
During British Summer Time – sometimes known as Daylight Saving Time – there is more daylight in the evenings and less in the mornings but when the clocks go back it will be lighter in the mornings and get dark quicker in the evenings.
Be sure to change your clocks to avoid being caught out by your alarm, but remember on smart-phones, computers and tablets the time should change automatically.
