CHS Tribute To Hollie Gazzard

3rd March 2014

Staff, students and governors at Chosen Hill School are deeply saddened by the death of Hollie and send much love to her family.  We have many happy memories of Hollie during her time in school and share just a few.

‘As Hollie’s Form Tutor for just a year when I first arrived at Chosen Hill, I remember her as a positive and happy member of the group who epitomised the kind of student that I came to know as typically ‘Chosen’ and of whom we, as a school, are tremendously proud.  I was saddened to hear of her passing and her family have been in my thoughts a great deal over the past few days, but I am proud to be part of a community which has responded with grief yet positivity in the face of such upsetting adversity’.

‘Hollie, a wonderful girl, full of life, full of fun and full of mischief….’

‘Hollie will be long remembered as a fun-loving and unfailingly bubbly young woman whose open disposition and empathy made her many, many friends.  With her wonderful shining eyes, an ever smiling face, a well-developed sense of humour and exquisite sense of style she would invariably brighten the morning for her fellow students.  A creative and fashion conscious student, Hollie readily identified her true vocation.  Her decision to work in hairdressing was an inspired career choice and all those who knew her realised that it would suit her down to the ground’.
